As part of the University of Cambridge, the Centre brings together scientists, clinicians, and industry partners to drive translational research and deliver real-world impact in patient care.
This role offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge cancer research, supporting the integration of key informatics systems that enable groundbreaking discoveries. You will be working in a highly collaborative and multidisciplinary environment, tackling some of the most exciting challenges in biomedical data management, interoperability, and clinical research integration. We are looking for an experienced and proactive System Integration Specialist to join the Cancer Clinical Informatics (CCI) Team. As System Integration Specialist, you will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and optimising system integrations. You will work closely with research and clinical teams to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient data pipelines. The role involves designing and implementing APIs, automation scripts, and SQL Server Stored Procedures, as well as integrating systems that may not have existing API functionality. You will provide third-line technical support, troubleshooting system connectivity issues and ensuring that integrations remain robust and fit for purpose. This role requires a strong technical foundation in API development, SQL, Python, and system integration methodologies. Experience with HL7, XML, JSON, and data transformation processes is desirable. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within the CCI team, engaging with stakeholders across the Cambridge Biomedical Campus to ensure data integration solutions align with user requirements and institutional strategies. Previous experience in working with scientific and/or clinical data would be advantageous
