Administrative Secretary (Fixed Term)


The Office of the School of the Humanities and Social Sciences has an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Secretary to join its dedicated team. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for a period of 12 months.

The purpose of the role is to provide a broad range of administrative support to the School and its Faculties and Departments. The role holder will ensure that there is adequate administrative provision to successfully operate the School's regular processes, provide operational support for the School's 'Vision Groups' and other project-related support, effectively manage internal grant funding calls and ensure the smooth operational running of the ESRC Doctoral Training Partnership and other major School investments.

About you: You would have strong administrative experience, preferably within university environment; excellent organisational, communication and time management skills; proactive personality, able to work with minimum direction and take initiative; strong attention to details; able to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure across a varied portfolio. Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 12 months in the first instance.
