Clinical Senior Research Associate [internal only] (Fixed Term)
We are inviting applications from oncology clinicians with substantial clinical and translational research experience to join the Precision Breast Cancer Institute (PBCI) team. The successful applicant will support the development and delivery of innovative clinical research projects and trials for patients with breast cancer, focusing strongly on breast cancer genomics and multi-modal data integration.
The successful candidate will be funded for 5PA in this role. It is expected they will have secured funding for the other 5PA from an alternative source, preferably as an NHS Oncology Consultant.
The post will be held in the PBCI, under the direction of Prof Jean Abraham (Professor in Precision Breast Cancer Medicine, Academic Honorary Consultant in Medical Oncology and Co-Lead of the CRUK Cambridge Centre Breast Programme) and based at the Cambridge University Hospital.
The PCBI team crosses multiple disciplines for the delivery of translational clinical trials, collection of high-quality multi-modal data as well as bioinformatics and machine-learning research teams. The Senior Clinical Research Associate will work across these teams in delivering PBCI studies and research projects as well collaborative opportunities with pre-clinical lab-based researchers through the CRUK Cambridge Centre and externally to the University and CUH.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 30 September 2027 in the first instance.
