Your contributions will impact a wide range of users, from students considering doing their undergraduate degree at Cambridge, to faculty staff publishing world-leading research.

This position offers hybrid working arrangements, generous benefits, and 41 days of annual leave (inclusive of public holidays).

Our ideal candidate would have experience of:

  • Designing, building, and maintaining websites using React.
  • Managing content-heavy sites backed by a content management system, ideally Drupal.
  • Using modern development tools such as Git, CLIs and IaC tools to manage deployments.
  • Taking a leading role in design decisions related to frontend work.
  • Coding in TypeScript, with proficiency in additional languages being a plus.
  • Ensuring interfaces meet accessibility standards.
  • Creating and running unit and functional tests, using tools like Selenium and BrowserStack.
  • Mentoring other developers and sharing best practices.
  • Collaborating in cross-functional teams, including roles like user-research and communications.
  • Working with users to understand and refine project requirements.

Stand-out candidates would additionally have experience of:

  • Using containers and working in a DevOps environment, with an understanding of the full system lifecycle.
  • Working with Cloud technologies (preferably Google Cloud), CI/CD (preferably GitLab), and configuration management tools.
  • Working across the stack, including backend API development, ideally using Python and Django.
