Research Associate (Part Time, Fixed Term)


The Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge wishes to appoint a Research Associate to work on a research project entitled: "Reorienting Education in Muslim Contexts towards Awe and Wonder through Dialogue, Science and Art" funded by the John Templeton Foundation. This post offers a rare opportunity to get involved in a project looking to support the development of innovative classroom based practice in Islamic schools.

The research associate is a part-time position at the equivalent of 3 days a week, starting as soon as possible until November 2026 in the first instance. We are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements. The role will require independent work which would suit a postdoctoral academic.

About the Role

Dr Farah Ahmed is looking for a Research Associate to provide support in the following; identifying and carrying out literature reviews; working with experts in devising and delivering online teacher professional development courses on Islamic approaches to educational dialogue, teaching Science and teaching Art; designing pre and post course surveys; running focus groups of classroom practitioners; data analysis; preparing academic and other publications; and dissemination of findings.
